Autism HR 2413 - Autism Treatment Acceleration Act of 2009 Requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services to implement an Autism Care Center Program to provide grants and other assistance to improve the effectiveness and efficiency in providing comprehensive care to individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and their families. Establishes the Interdepartmental Autism Coordinating Committee to coordinate all federal efforts concerning autism spectrum disorders. Requires the Secretary to establish special organizations for Autism research. Requires group health plans to provide coverage for the diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorders. Health Care S. 540 - Medical Device Safety Act of 2009 Medical Device Safety Act of 2009 - Amends the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to prohibit specified provisions preempting state and local requirements for medical devices intended for human use from being construed to modify or otherwise affect any action for damages or the liability of any person under state law. Makes this Act effective as if it were included in the Medical Device Amendments of 1976 and applicable to any civil action pending or filed on or after the date of enactment of this Act. Health Care HR 1691 - Breast Cancer Patient Protection Act Requires a group health plan that provides medical and surgical benefits to ensure that inpatient (and in the case of a lumpectomy, outpatient) coverage and radiation therapy are provided for breast cancer treatment. Requires that such plans cover a minimum 48 hour stay for mastectomy or breast conserving surgery. Requires such a plan or issuer to ensure that coverage is provided for secondary consultations. Social Security HR 868 - To amend title XIX of the Social Security Act to provide funds to States to enable them to increase the wages paid to targeted direct support professionals in providing services to individuals with disabilities under the Medicaid Program. “To stabilize and increase the number of direct support professionals in the work force, the wages and benefits of direct support professionals must be improved and made equitable among long term support options. …Medicaid is the single-largest payor of long-term supports and services for people with disabilities. Social Security HR 746 - To provide for economic recovery payments to recipients of Social Security, railroad retirement, and veterans disability benefits. Secretary of the Treasury shall make a one-time payment of $500 to individuals 18 and older who, during the 3-month period immediately preceding the month in which this Act is enacted, were entitled to Social Security benefits (as defined in section 86(d) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986) or benefits under chapters 11, 13, or 15 of title 38, United States Code.
